Position: Accountant
Pay Rate: $35/hr-$38/hr
Hours: Monday through Friday in Office
Location: Encinitas, CA
Contract duration: 6-12 months
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Weekly Operating Report
- 401K Administration
- Oversee accounting clerk duties for completion and accuracy
- AP/AR
- Bank reconciliations
- Credit Cards - coding, reconciling and entering
- Fixed assets
- Insurance
- Month end and year end close
- Payroll
- sales and property taxes for quarterly, monthly and year
Skills Required:
- Proficiency in accounting software such as GP Dynamics, SAP, or similar platforms
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Accountant
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
- Time management skills with ability to meet deadlines
- Integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality
