Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A rewarding opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential support within an elementary school environment. This contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on young students' communication development in a well-established school setting located in Plano, TX. The assignment is scheduled for the current school year, focusing on delivering services that support student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments tailored to elementary-aged children.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy goals and strategies as necessary.
- Participate in meetings and provide guidance on effective communication strategies within the classroom.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology certification with the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
- Experience working as an SLP in school settings, preferably with elementary-aged students.
- Strong understanding of school-based speech-language services and educational requirements.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage caseloads efficiently, and build rapport with children and staff.
