Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An exciting opportunity is available for a full-time Special Education Teacher to support students from kindergarten through 6th grade. This role involves managing a caseload of 10-13 students and requires a dedicated professional with a New Mexico teaching license. The position is contracted through the end of the current school year, with an immediate start date.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and support to students with special needs across grades K-6.
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with families, staff, and administrators.
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to meet educational goals.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learning styles.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with parents and team members.
Qualifications:
- Valid New Mexico teaching license for Special Education.
- Experience teaching special education students, preferably within K-6 grade levels.
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
- Ability to manage a caseload of 10-13 students effectively.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
