Land Use & Real Estate Support Specialist

Job Summary: Church Church Hittle & Antrim is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Land Use & Real Estate Support Specialist to provide support to the Firm’s attorneys in the areas of zoning, land use, and real estate transactions. This role requires the ability to manage public notice processes, maintain an understanding of zoning procedures, and assist with real estate closings, including preparing schedules, checklists, and closing packets. The ideal candidate is proactive, efficient, and able to balance multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Public Notices & Land Use Support
    • Draft, file, and distribute public notices in compliance with statutory and municipal requirements.
    • Track deadlines related to zoning hearings, public meetings, and filings.
    • Maintain a working knowledge of local zoning procedures and requirements.
    • Coordinate with municipalities, planning commissions, and clients regarding scheduling and compliance.
  • Real Estate Transaction Support
    • Assist attorneys with the preparation of transaction timelines and closing checklists.
    • Gather, organize, and maintain due diligence documents.
    • Prepare and assemble closing packets, binders, and digital records.
    • Communicate with clients, lenders, title companies, and other parties to ensure smooth transactions.
    • Track key dates and obligations for real estate closings.
  • Administrative & Team Support
    • Maintain accurate records and filing systems for both land use and real estate matters.
    • Provide project management assistance to attorneys and paralegals.
    • Handle correspondence, document management, and other administrative support as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in real estate, land use, land development or legal support preferred (law firm or municipal experience a plus).
  • Basic understanding of zoning and land use processes.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); familiarity with document management systems a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative legal team.
  • High level of professionalism and client service orientation.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: Commensurate with experience, including competitive salary and benefits package.
