Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make an immediate impact supporting students this fall as a school psychologist in the vibrant San Juan Capistrano area. Step into a welcoming middle school setting and lend your skills in a full-time contract role, with the chance to work closely with staff and students for the beginning of the academic year (August 17 – November 20). Your expertise as a PPS-certified school psychologist is needed to deliver valuable psychological services and promote student well-being.
What you’ll bring:
• Master’s degree in psychology or related field
• Valid Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential
• Previous experience working with middle school-age children is strongly preferred
• Deep understanding of assessment tools, behavioral interventions, and counseling techniques
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Professionalism and flexibility within a collaborative school environment
• Commitment to supporting diverse learners and fostering an inclusive school climate
What you’ll do:
• Conduct assessments and provide counseling to middle school students
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and staff on interventions and educational strategies
• Develop and assist in the implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Serve as a resource for Response to Intervention (RTI) teams
• Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality
• Support crisis intervention efforts and contribute to proactive behavioral support initiatives
• Engage in consultation, team meetings, and offer ongoing professional guidance to school personnel
This is an on-site, full-time assignment at a single middle school, providing consistency and the ability to form meaningful relationships with students and staff.
