Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Special Education Teacher with expertise in Extensive Support Needs (ESN) is sought for a contract position located in Yuba City, CA. This role supports students with significant cognitive, communicative, or physical disabilities ranging from transitional kindergarten through age 22. The contract begins immediately and extends through June 5th, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with extensive support needs.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with each student's abilities and goals.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive student support.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Education Specialist Instruction Credential with a focus on Extensive Support Needs.
- Experience working with students across a wide age range (TK to 22 years) with significant disabilities.
- Ability to manage moderate to severe caseloads effectively.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills within a school community.
