Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Located in Paulding, OH, this opportunity offers a rewarding role as a Physical Therapy Assistant supporting patients on their journey to improved mobility and function. Working under the direction of a Physical Therapist, you will help restore strength, coordination, and range of motion for patients recovering from injury or disease within a hospital setting.
Responsibilities include implementing and adjusting physical therapy treatment plans, selecting appropriate therapeutic activities, educating patients and families, and documenting all treatments in accordance with departmental protocols. You will also provide discharge instructions and community resource referrals, act as a resource for staff and physicians, and ensure compliance with ethical standards and regulatory requirements. A commitment to customer service and teamwork is essential, with continuous professional development and participation in meetings, training, and quality improvement activities.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- High School Diploma required; Associates degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program preferred
- Valid Physical Therapist Assistant license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Customer service orientation and team collaboration skills
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation purposes
- Ability to follow ethical standards and maintain patient confidentiality
Schedule/Hours:
- Day shift, Monday through Friday, 4x10-hour shifts (days vary)
- On-call as needed
- Weekend and holiday shifts required (minimum 2 major and 2 minor holidays)
