Job DescriptionWell Established client in Midland, Tx is seeking:
Job Title: Electrical Assembler I


Hours per week: 40Overtime & Weekends required: As needed POSITION SUMMARY:The Electrical Assembler I supports the assembly, wiring, and testing of electrical systems and components used in oil and gas equipment and machinery. This entry-level position provides hands-on experience in industrial electrical assembly while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards in a manufacturing environment.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:But not limited to:

  • Assemble electrical components, wiring harnesses, and sub-assemblies for oil and gas equipment according to schematics, work instructions, and quality standards.
  • Interpret electrical diagrams, blueprints, and technical documentation.
  • Solder, crimp, and connect wires and components using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Perform basic electrical testing to ensure proper operation of assemblies.
  • Inspect assemblies for defects or deviations and report issues to lead or supervisor.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and quality requirements.
  • Continuously learn and develop technical skills under guidance from senior team members.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Basic understanding of electrical components, circuits, and systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret simple electrical diagrams, schematics, and assembly instructions.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, soldering equipment, and basic assembly tools.
  • Ability to perform basic electrical testing and identify obvious defects.


  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precise assembly work.
  • Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.
  • Comfortable working with small components and wiring.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to following safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Awareness of manufacturing safety standards (e.g., OSHA guidelines) and ability to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to learn, take direction, and follow standard operating procedures.
  • Reliability and strong work ethic.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS Preferred but Not Required:

  • Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing, or electrical work.
  • Basic familiarity with industrial equipment, especially in oil and gas applications.
  • Technical training or coursework in electrical assembly or electronics.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Basic understanding of electrical components, circuits, and tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and assembly instructions.
  • Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to adhere to strict safety standards and wear PPE consistently.
  • Previous assembly or industrial electrical experience is a plus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Manufacturing/industrial environment, including exposure to oil and gas equipment.
  • Standing, bending, lifting, and working in potentially noisy or hazardous areas.
  • Regular use of hand tools, soldering equipment, and other assembly machinery.
  • PPE use required at all times per safety protocols.
  • For the most part, ambient temperatures with typical plant lighting and manufacturing equipment are present throughout the facility.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Sitting, climbing, or standing as needed.
  • Walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day.
  • Reaching, pushing, pulling, or lifting as required within limits set.
