Job Title: Pharmacy Support Associate (Entry-Level / Warehouse Experience Preferred)
Location: Cheektowga, NY
Pay Rate: $17.50/hour
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Support Associate to join our team in an automated refill pharmacy environment. In this role, you will assist in preparing, packaging, sorting, and distributing medications under the supervision of a pharmacist.
This is a fast-paced, production-based position ideal for candidates with pharmacy technician or warehouse experience who can maintain accuracy while meeting daily performance goals.
Schedule
- Sunday: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
- Wednesday: 6:00 PM – 10:30 PM
- Thursday: 6:00 PM – 10:30 PM
- Friday: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Note: Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately fill prescription vials with tablets and capsules
- Retrieve medications from shelves using computer-generated instructions
- Verify medication type, strength, and quantity before dispensing
- Replenish automated dispensing systems and stock inventory
- Use handheld scanners to track and manage products
- Perform basic math calculations for prescription quantities
- Package prescriptions and prepare orders for shipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment
- Follow HIPAA regulations and pharmacy procedures to ensure patient privacy
- Identify and escalate issues as needed
- Perform additional duties including housekeeping and workflow support
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform physical tasks (standing, walking, bending, reaching) for extended periods
- Basic math, reading, and writing skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, repetitive environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Pharmacy technician experience
- Warehouse or production experience
- Basic computer skills
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Positive attitude and ability to adapt to changing workflows
