We are looking for reliable, high-energy Moving Captains to join our network. If you have experience driving box trucks, a "get-it-done" attitude, and a commitment to providing elite customer service, we want to work with you.
As a 1099 Contractor, you have the freedom to build your own schedule. We post the jobs; you choose the ones that fit your life.
How It Works
- Join the Network: Once onboarded, you’ll be added to our exclusive dispatch group chat.
- Claim Your Jobs: New moving orders are posted daily. Review the details and claim the jobs you want.
- Lead the Crew: Once you accept an order, you are the Captain. You’ll be responsible for the truck, the timing, and the team.
- Get Paid: Complete the move, ensure the customer is happy, and move on to the next one.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive & Navigate: Safely operate a box truck throughout the DMV (DC, MD, VA) area.
- Lead the Team: Oversee the loading and unloading process, ensuring items are padded, wrapped, and secured properly.
- Customer Relations: Act as the primary point of contact on-site, ensuring a professional and stress-free experience for the client.
- Accountability: Arrive on time for all accepted jobs. Once an order is claimed, it is your responsibility to see it through to completion.
Requirements
- Experience: Proven experience driving box trucks (16ft–26ft) and performing professional moving services.
- Reliability: A smartphone with the ability to monitor group chat notifications and respond quickly.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy furniture and equipment for extended periods.
- Professionalism: A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Tools of the Trade: Possession of basic moving tools (dollies, straps, etc.) is a major plus.
