Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A dedicated Special Education Teacher is needed to support students in a K-12 educational setting located in Cary, NC. This full-time contract position (37.5 hours per week) spans the academic year and offers opportunities to work in resource and inclusion classrooms, primarily serving students from kindergarten through eighth grade. Multiple openings are available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the needs of students in resource and inclusion settings.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support student learning and social development.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and communication.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience working with K-8 students in resource and inclusion settings preferred.
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
