As a Permanent Assistant Superintendent in Healthcare Construction, you will be an integral part of a high-performing team responsible for managing and overseeing construction projects within the healthcare industry. This role involves working on a variety of construction projects, including hospital MOB, remodels, construction renovations, ground-up builds, additions, expansions and tenant improvements. You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment where no two days are the same. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be involved in the construction of state-of-the-art healthcare facilities that will make a real difference in people's lives.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the management and supervision of construction projects within the healthcare industry, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
2. Oversee all phases of construction from ground-up builds/MOB to remodels, renovations, additions, expansions and tenant improvements.
3. Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, contractors and other stakeholders to ensure that all projects are executed smoothly and efficiently.
4. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including those set out by the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD).
5. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure that all work is being carried out in accordance with project plans and specifications.
6. Resolve any issues or problems that may arise during the construction process, taking prompt and effective action to keep projects on track.
7. Foster a culture of safety and quality, ensuring that all team members are aware of and adhere to safety protocols and quality standards.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, with a strong focus on healthcare construction.
2. Proven experience in managing a variety of construction projects, including hospital MOB, remodels, renovations, ground-up builds, additions, expansions and tenant improvements.
3. In-depth knowledge of OSHPD regulations and standards.
4. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
5. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
7. A strong commitment to safety and quality, with the ability to instill these values in others.
8. A degree in construction management, civil engineering or a related field is preferred.
