Sales Coordinator
(Hybrid Position)
Department: Customer Service and Fulfillment
Reports To: Lead Sales Coordinator
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)
Location: Chesterton
In-Office: Tuesday - Thursday
About the Role
The Sales Coordinator (SC) is responsible for providing the highest level of service to ensure a positive experience for the customer with each interaction. The SC will collaborate with various professionals including integrators, resellers, vendors, and internal teams to enable order placement and follow through ensuring a positive procurement experience. Communication is key to the SC position, and it is essential that they have excellent communication skills and feel comfortable working in a team environment. Tasks can include but are not limited to processing orders, relaying tracking and order information, checking on order status, and resolving customer issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive and enter orders accurately, confirming order status and product availability
- Work with internal departments to complete orders
- Confirm customer account and payment terms, process credit card payments
- Respond to customer requests via email and phone
- Provide product lead times, shipment tracking, and other information requested
- Escalate unresolved customer issues to designated departments/management for further investigation and resolution
- Keep up to date technically and apply new knowledge to your job
- Meet required team goals & report to pre-designated workstation 8 hours per day
- Perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned
What We’re Looking for
- A high school diploma or GED is required. A college degree or work experience providing transferable skills is a must.
- CTS certification a plus.
- Must have at least 3 years of Customer Service experience, Audio/Video or IT industry knowledge helpful.
- Strong communication, attention to detail, multitasking, and problem-solving skills are required.
- A willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Ability to work in a team environment and successfully lead a team.
- Proficient with computers/various programs, video meetings/messaging applications, and Microsoft Office.
Physical Demands:
- Required to sit for long periods of time
- Infrequent light physical effort required
- Viewing various computer screens over extended periods of time
