Production Cook
Responsibilities and Duties
• Prepare meals in bulk using standardized recipes
• Cook a variety of foods including meats, vegetables, soups, and baked goods
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, equipment, and food storage areas
• Follow food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP standards)
Job Requirements
• Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check
• Culinary degree or cooking certification preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience cooking in a high volume institutional catering environment preferred.
• Must have strong efficiency in knife skills
• Must be able to read, write and understand English
• Must be able to use fingers/hands to handle equipment
• Must be able to lift and push 50+ lbs
• Must be able to stand, bend, lift and move intermittently during shift of 8+ hours.
• Must be flexible and able to react to changing priorities.
• Must have an understanding of various cooking techniques and the ability to follow recipes
• Must have strong organizational skills
• Must have a strong understanding of food safety and & HACCP regulations
