Position Description
The Travel Card and Finance Analyst is part of a team of supporting the management of a federal government client’s travel charge card and travel-related programs. This position supports the management of the individual and corporate travel charge cards according to federal, department, and agency policy. The analyst staffs the general mailbox for the program responding to e-mails with an average turnaround time of 24 hours, executes the onboarding and offboarding for local travel charge card administrators, and trains of the local administrators.
The program requires completion of monthly ad hoc and scheduled deliverables related to delinquency, misuse, reconciliation, or corporate travel card monthly charges, and prompt preparation of payment documents to minimize late payments to the travel charge card bank-of-record with a keen eye towards cost savings for the client.
Required Skills
- Strong foundation of financial principles and interpreting data, with attention to detail when reviewing documents, estimated costs, and actual costs for individual and corporate travel charges.
- Apply strong math and written skills to support the client’s programs, including the ability to revise or provide first draft of process documents for program continuity purposes.
- Strong interpersonal skills for communicating with program stakeholders and external vendors regarding related to the management and oversight of the corporate travel charge card program.
- Strong organizational and time management for projects such as agency-wide and program office specific data calls, as well as ensuring the timely submissions of conference information before the event and post conference reporting.
- Strong public speaking skills.
- Ability to lead monthly travel charge card training for local travel administrators.

Job Duties
- Manages daily travel requests and two of the 12 corporate travel charge card accounts and direct management of two corporate travel card accounts.
- Uses the online portals for the bank-of-record and travel management system-of-record, currently Concur, to retrieve specific travelers travel information, generate reports for the management of the program.
- Analyses reports from the systems of record and applies the information to the prompt payment of travel charge card invoices.
- Individual travel charge card program coverage to support team member absences.
Experience and Education Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in finance or business.
- Work Experience 3-7 Years. experience with federal government travel policy preferred.
Work Location
- Remote/onsite hybrid. Full Time (40 hours per week – Monday through Friday). Federal holidays are observed.
- With three (3) days’ notice, client may require that employee start work on-site three (3) days a week with two (2) days remotely.
- The position will require a one-day onsite visit to agency headquarters in Springfield, VA per quarter.
Security and Clearance
- U.S. Citizenship Required.
- Must be able to secure Public Trust clearance.
