Landscape Worker & Handyman — Plano, IL Part-time · 25 Hours/Week · $25/Hour
About the Role
We're looking for a dependable, skilled individual to help maintain and improve two residential properties located about 15 minutes apart in the Plano/Sandwich, IL area. Work is varied and hands-on — perfect for a retired tradesperson, farmer, or landscaper who enjoys staying active and working outdoors.
Compensation & Hours
- $25/hour
- 20-25 hours per week
- Flexible scheduling
What You'll Do
- Operate a skid steer loader
- Mow, trim, and maintain lawns
- Plant trees, shrubs, and perennials
- Weed, mulch, and prep garden beds
- Slope and erosion control work
- Small construction and carpentry projects (Not required but this would be a plus.)
- General repairs and maintenance
- Hauling, lifting, and site cleanup
- Seasonal upkeep year-round
What We're Looking For
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physically capable of outdoor labor in all seasons
- Reliable, punctual, and takes pride in good work
- Own transportation to travel between two nearby properties
- Experience operating a skid steer operator
- Basic handyman or construction skills (not required but this would be a plus)
- Local to the Plano/Sandwich, IL area
- References a plus
