Job Description
Pride Health is actively seeking a skilled Cytotechnologist for an exciting travel opportunity in Los Gatos and Mountain View, CA. This role will focus heavily on non-GYN cytology cases and requires expertise in ROSE, EBUS, and FNA procedures. The ideal candidate is licensed in California and brings recent experience from an acute care hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform microscopic evaluations of cytological specimens using specialized techniques, including ROSE, EBUS, and FNA.
- Provide preliminary interpretations and diagnoses on prepared cytology slides.
- Collaborate with pathologists for final diagnosis and provide input on sample adequacy.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with laboratory standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Document findings accurately in the laboratory information system.
- Maintain equipment, troubleshoot issues, and ensure quality control measures are followed.
Qualifications:
- California Cytotechnologist License (Required)
- Experience in ROSE, EBUS, and FNA (Required)
- Extensive experience in Non-GYN cases (Required)
- Recent experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred
Additional Information:
- Location: Los Gatos, CA 95032
- Travel: Required between Los Gatos and Mountain View
- Schedule: 8-hour day shifts, starting between 7:00 AM and 10:30 AM (Monday to Friday)/ 40 hours/week.
- Contract Length: 12 weeks
- Pay Rate: $75 - $83/hour
