Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Valid ABESPA Alabama SLP Certificate or AL SLP DOE Certificate (active or in process—one certification is sufficient to start)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Previous experience providing SLP services in a school setting preferred
- Familiarity with therapy for upper elementary students (grades 3–6)
- Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to develop and implement IEP goals tailored to student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy to students onsite in alignment with IEP goals
- Screen, assess, and document student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success
- Maintain timely and thorough documentation according to school/district policies
- Participate in team meetings, IEP conferences, and professional development as required
- Support a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere
