Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide full-time, on-site services at an elementary school in Chesapeake, VA. This role covers a maternity leave assignment and will serve elementary-aged students at Grassfield Elementary. The assignment starts on September 25, 2025, and continues through approximately December 18, 2025, working 37.5 hours per week, five days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments for elementary-aged students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to support student communication needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
- Provide therapy services aligned with best practices and state guidelines
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Virginia Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license required
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with elementary-age children
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage a caseload independently and effectively
- Knowledge of evidence-based speech-language intervention techniques
