Summary
Valleypoint Early Childhood Learning Center, a proud ministry of Valleypoint Church, is excited to announce an opening for an afternoon floater.
We are looking for passionate and enthusiastic individuals who can inspire and nurture our young children, helping them take pride in their achievements.
In this role, you will have the extraordinary opportunity to demonstrate that children can experience unconditional love and support from caregivers beyond their parents. Your primary responsibility will be to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment that fosters trust and emotional security and caters to each child's unique interests and needs. Duties
- Change diapers and help potty train children.
- Help staff with transitioning children from inside to outside for play.
- Modeled empathy through respect, response, and gentle guidance
- Fostered emotional and social development through a secure attachment with each child
- Built excellent relationships with each child's family and communicated with them daily
- Ensured compliance with state regulations and industry best practices for cleanliness and safety.
- Supervise children to ensure their safety at all times.
- Pick up, wash, and put away the afternoon snack dishes in their proper places.
- Ensure laundry is washed on the scheduled time and put away.
- Maintain communication with staff.
Requirements
- Be able to pass a Washington State background check.
- Certification in child CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens
- Excellent communication and instructional skills
- Ability to act as a mediator between children
- Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable.

About Us

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who can inspire and motivate our young children to take pride in their accomplishments. As a teacher, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate that children can receive unconditional love and support from other caregivers besides their parents. You will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing learning environment that promotes trust and emotional security and meets the individual interests and needs of each child.
