Valley Medical and Wellness is currently hiring a seasoned Nurse Practitioner to evaluate the mental health needs of our patients and prescribe/oversee TMS treatment at all VMW locations. Its fulfilling work and one of the best parts is you get your evenings and weekends off.
What will you do as a Nurse Practitioner at Valley Medical? It varies somewhat from day to day and from clinic to clinic, but here are the primary responsibilities:
Primary Responsibility:
Evaluation/Monitoring
- Obtain medical history from patients
- Perform evaluation, delineate problems, record and present data in EMR
- Provide triaging support to support staff for mental health related concerns
- Assist in provision of continuity of care
Diagnostics/Assessments
- Interpret and evaluate patient data
- Order and/or perform diagnostic procedures and psychiatric assessments
Therapeutics
- Develop and implement patient management plans
- PrescribeTMS Therapyand other mental health treatments
- PerformTMS cortical mappingsas part of the treatment process
- Oversee staff technicianswho administer daily TMS treatments
- Providemedication managementas needed, ensuring patient care and safety
Instruct and counsel patients regarding the following:
- Emotional problems
- Prescribed therapeutic regimens
- Facilitate the referral of patient to other health care providers and specialists when appropriate
Administrative
- Assure the vision, mission, and strategic goals of the organization are integrated into all clinical and is preserved in all patient, customer, and partner contacts.
- Collaborate with Medical Director, Psych Medical Director, and Clinical Director regarding treatment protocols.
Preferred Skills and Knowledge:
- Demonstrated clinical expertise with patients with complex medical issues of all age groups
- Skills normally expected to diagnose and treat
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent critical thinking skills to solve day-to-day problems. Ability to coordinate patient care in multiple settings
- Ability to work independently

Required Education, Experience and Credentials:
Masters degree as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Current MN license as a nurse practitioner
Current board certification
Additional Position Details: (hours, locations, commute)
Standard work hours Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and other hours as necessary to support and oversee business operations and initiatives.

Compensation:
$115,000.00-$140,000.00 annually for 1.0 FTE.The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, qualifications, education, internal equity and business needs.
