Job Summary

The Lead Wellness Technician for Massage Therapy is a passionate bodywork professional who combines hands-on mastery with leadership to inspire the therapist team and deliver transformative guest experiences. This role plays a key part in ensuring that treatments reflect the spa’s luxury standards while supporting innovation in wellness offerings, techniques, and guest care. Acting as an ambassador to the Spa leadership team, the Lead Massage Therapist helps maintain operational excellence while fostering a culture of education, consistency, and elevated service.

Education & Experience

• Completion of an accredited Massage Therapy program required.

• Minimum of 5 years of professional massage therapy experience in a luxury spa, wellness, or resort environment preferred.

• Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish) is mandatory.

• Advanced certifications in massage modalities such as deep tissue, sports, prenatal, hot stone, reflexology, or related specialties preferred.

• Demonstrated passion for continuing education and staying informed on global wellness trends, products, and treatment innovations.

• Previous leadership, mentoring, or training experience preferred.

• Must possess a valid Massage Therapist License from the Board of Examiners of Massage Therapists, from the Department of Health.

• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and treatment protocols.

• Proficiency in additional therapies and wellness modalities is a plus.

• CPR/AED certification preferred.

• Is curious and innovative, actively exploring new wellness techniques, tools, and products to enhance guest experiences.

• Is capable of maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, safety, and compliance at all times.


Physical Requirements

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required.

• Ability to stand for long periods of time and be on-site to oversee daily operations.

• Must be able to perform physical activities related to massage/body treatments including standing, bending, stretching, and repetitive motions for extended periods.Ability to provide treatments in various locations including spa treatment rooms, poolside cabanas, lounges, and wellness event spaces.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds, and assist with light physical tasks when needed (e.g., setting up for special events or promotional displays).
