JOB SUMMARY

Coordinates and supports strategic activities involved with the procurement and distribution of goods and services such as repairs, operating supplies, and building maintenance and equipment. Responsible for streamlining methods of procurement to support multiple tasks. Converts and manages revisions to purchase orders, resolves invoice issues due to price discrepancies, reviews bid proposals, negotiates contracts/agreements and works with legal to finalize them. Verifies pricing on indirect purchases, updates the contract database, serves as a Super User for indirect commodities, monitors tool crib and logistics activity, and drives process improvements by working with multiple departments within the company. Supports the expedite and delivery of goods to various requesters to meet production and project requirements. Other duties and responsibilities as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process new supplier onboarding requests
  • Maintain purchase orders through the use of LN and B-BOND
  • Drive cost savings efforts by maintaining strong supplier relationships
  • Manage non-production commodities to support company goals
  • Support company projects
  • Implement contracts for goods and services
  • Ensures all contract administration procedures are followed and executed in a professional and timely manner

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES FOR SUCCESS

  • Ability to perform basic financial analysis
  • Ability to perform data analysis
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
  • Ability to evaluate, select, and approve suppliers
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships and strong internal relationships with multiple departments
  • Basic Excel experience required
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

BASIC EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor degree in Supply Chain or Business Related field, required
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in purchasing, materials, planning, or similar field

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience with LN, preferred
  • Previous negotiations experience, preferred
