JOB SUMMARY The role provides advanced technical support to applications engineers in a customer engineering group, applying scientific, engineering, and mathematical principles to ensure product design meets quality and application requirements. The position emphasizes compatibility between products and potential applications, offering innovative and practical technical solutions to complex challenges. Work is performed under minimal supervision, with frequent inter-organizational and external interactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply scientific and engineering principles to support product design and quality requirements.
- Provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems, ensuring solutions are thorough, practical, and aligned with organizational objectives.
- Collaborate with applications engineers and other stakeholders to optimize product performance and compatibility.
- Independently determine and develop approaches to problem-solving and solution implementation.
- Represent the organization externally and maintain strong working relationships with clients and partners.
- Communicate technical concepts effectively to internal teams and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in product design, applications engineering, or technical support.
- Comprehensive understanding and application of standard engineering or scientific theories, concepts, principles, and techniques.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal direction while achieving organizational objectives.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain working relationships outside of immediate teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of related engineering or scientific disciplines.
- Experience in providing technical support to customer engineering teams.
- Demonstrated track record of solving complex, cross-functional technical problems.
