Pharmacists Needed for EMR Conversion Support – Contract Opportunity in McFarland, CA
Seeking two experienced pharmacists to support a critical transition from Cerner to EPIC electronic medical records (EMR) systems. This contract role is an excellent opportunity for pharmacists skilled in dispensing, medication management, and EMR navigation to contribute their expertise while permanent staff focus on implementation and troubleshooting of the new software.
Responsibilities:
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently using existing systems
- Provide clinical pharmacy services during the EMR conversion period
- Support daily pharmacy operations to maintain uninterrupted patient care
- Collaborate closely with healthcare teams to ensure seamless workflow during the software upgrade
- Assist in identifying issues impacting pharmacy processes and communicate with IT and clinical leadership
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Valid Pharmacist license with current registration
- Experience working within hospital or pharmacy settings utilizing EMR systems
- Familiarity with Cerner and EPIC EMR platforms preferred but not mandatory
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt during system conversions
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
