Fast paced Internal Medicine and Pediatrics office seeking a full-time team member for a mix of patient care and administrative work.
Looking for someone flexible and willing to learn.
Responsibilities:
- Insurance verification and billing entry.
- Adding patients to EMR and billing system.
- Faxing and/or calling vendors.
- Scheduling patient appointments.
- Recording & updating patient's medical histories, medications, and lists for skilled facilities, personal care homes, and house calls.
- Preparing skilled facilities, personal care homes, and house call patients charts for doctors.
- Communicating with staff at skilled facilities and personal care homes.
- General office support.
Qualifications:
- 1 year of healthcare experience preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Good computer skills - EMR experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable transportation required
- Knowledge of HIPAA.
