Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist to support students in a Center Based School setting in Okemos, MI. This role involves approximately 24 hours per week (.6 FTE) and serves a caseload of about 24 students aged 5 to 26 with autism, emotional impairments, or cognitive impairments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services tailored to students with high needs in a school setting
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to ensure integrated care
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with licensing and school requirements
Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan OT license is required
- Experience working with students who have high needs in a Center Based School environment
- Ability to work effectively with students aged 526 with autism, emotional, and cognitive impairments
- Willingness to start as soon as possible, covering the remainder of the school year
- Licensed Travelers able to obtain Michigan OT licensure promptly will also be considered
