Job Description
The Manufacturing Production Painter is responsible for preparing, priming, and painting a variety of metal and/or plastic components used in our production process. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the quality and durability of our products.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, cleaning, and masking as required
- Apply primer, paint, and coatings using spray guns or other equipment
- Ensure painted surfaces meet quality standards and specifications
- Maintain painting equipment and ensure proper storage of materials
- Follow safety protocols and proper use of PPE
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work collaboratively with production and quality teams to ensure throughput and quality targets are met
Requirements
- Familiarity with both solvent and water-based paints
- 1+ year(s) of industrial or automotive painting experience preferred
- Familiarity with automatic and manual painting equipment and techniques
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Basic understanding of safety and OSHA regulations
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or paint specs
