What you bring to the table
- Make sure the space stays safe, clean, and friendly for both guests and the rest of the team; speak up and report any safety concerns to the Safety Committee.
- Prepare, cook, and present food to Ko-Kwel standards and guest expectations.
- Deliver friendly, courteous service-always with a smile and a positive attitude.
- Coordinate orders for timely, efficient service.
- Follow all safe food handling and sanitation procedures to keep our guests and team members safe.
- Use proper tools, recipes, and techniques to ensure consistency and quality.
- Keep your station organized, stocked, and sparkling clean throughout the shift.
- Complete all opening, running, and closing duties for your station.
- Assist fellow team members across Line, Prep, and Dish stations when needed.
- Maintain professional conduct and respectful communication at all times.
- Notify a manager of guest concerns or inventory shortages.
- Jump in where needed to support the team and keep things running smoothly. (Other duties as assigned).
Must-haves, nice-to-haves, and maybe some bonus points
- Six months to one year of experience as a Prep or Line Cook in a commercial kitchen-or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Knowledge of cooking techniques relevant to the role.
- Ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Sound judgment and a team-oriented mindset.
- Current food safety certification and (if applicable) alcohol awareness certification.
- Friendly and approachable attitude that helps guests (and the team) feel welcome and cared for every day.
- Comfortable communicating clearly and positively with both guests and teammates.
- Must pass and remain in compliance with Coquille Gaming Commission background check and drug free workplace policies.
