Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Payroll Associate to join our team. This role involves assisting with payroll processing for Canadian payroll, while also supporting the resolution of any related issues.
Responsibilities
- Process payroll for Canadian payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving payroll issues.
- Manage garnishments, deductions, and payroll taxes.
- Handle payroll for complex environments, including multi-state, union, and multiple organizations.
- Support the department during quarter-end and year-end activities.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of payroll processing experience in a semi-complex environment.
- Proficiency in handling garnishments and deductions.
- Experience with payroll tax, union payroll, certified payroll, and prevailing wage.
- Familiarity with Canadian payroll processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with SAP and ADP Workforce Now.
- Strong Excel skills.
Work Environment
The position is initially in-office and will transition to a hybrid model with 3 days in-office and 2 days work-from-home. Work is conducted in a corporate shared services environment in Farmingdale, with a team of around 50 employees. The environment is somewhat outdated but is characterized by friendly, laid-back colleagues who enjoy a fun and engaging workplace. The role reports to the Payroll Director within a department of 9 other team members.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Farmingdale, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $31.50/hr.
