Full Job Description

The Accounting Clerk provides support around accounting operations to supervisors and managers within the Company.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING | THE ROLE

  • Accurate and timely processing of accounts payable.
  • Prompt and organized processing of accounts receivable.
  • Conduct month-end reconciliations and closing processes.
  • Prepare and mail all recurring and non-recurring customer billing.
  • Timely completion of all data entry.
  • Efficient handling and processing of all incoming rental payments.
  • Effectively manage time to avoid backtracking and delay of tasks.
  • Maintain effective communication with co-workers, supervisors, vendors and clients.
  • Proactively work to improve current processes and systems.
  • Work independently and productively while keeping open communication with others.
  • Ensure accurate review and reconciliation of collected rents and recovery charges, as well as expenses paid.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or otherwise identified.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING | THE PERSON

  • Minimum of 2 years in related field required.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, processes, and terminology
  • College degree preferred; High School diploma required.
  • Must have strong computer skills; Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, ERP/Accounting software
  • Quickbooks Online experience required
  • Yardi experience preferred
  • Must be able to pass a background screening.
  • Be understanding and flexible in the event of varying work hours due to business needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be professional, courteous, and service-oriented.
  • Ability and desire to multitask and prioritize multiple duties and deadlines.
  • Regular attendance and timeliness
