Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking an experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Evansville, Indiana. This position offers the opportunity to deliver specialized care to patients requiring close monitoring in a collaborative hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients with acute and complex medical conditions requiring intermediate-level monitoring

• Perform thorough assessments and document patient status in the EMR

• Administer medications, IV therapies, and manage drips per physician orders

• Operate and monitor specialized equipment, including cardiac monitors and ventilators

• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and adjust patient care plans

• Educate patients and families on treatments, recovery plans, and follow-up care

• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions

Requirements

• Active Indiana RN license or Compact License

• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA)

• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU/Stepdown or related experience

• Stg critical care skills and ability to manage high-acuity patients
