Nuclear Maritime Maintenance Operations Center Analyst

Washington DC

Responsibilities:

The Nuclear Maritime Maintenance Operations Center Analyst (NMMOC) is the NAVSEA 04 source of up-to-date / real-time data and information from Naval Shipyard and supporting systems performance in support of Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) availabilities.

Responsibilities and Functions:

  • Maintain SEA 04 War Room information management display systems by ensuring functionality is performing as required and be the liaison for identifying and communication Information Technology (IT) support as required for continuous IT operations. Coordinate meetings and communications across the enterprise. Maintain and update SEA 04 and NMMOC systems and trackers with real-time status and meeting notes.
  • Ensure data and information from reporting activities including the four Naval Shipyards, is delivered on time and in prescribed format per the NMMOC concept of operations requirements. When not delivered on time and in prescribed format contact the responsible activity, acquire cause(s), learn from activity if support external to the responsible activity is required, acquire estimated delivery data/time, and report issue to NMMOC Director and the cognizant NAVSEA 04 Submarine or Carrier program management staff.
  • Evaluate delivered data and information for consistency and trends. If inconsistent data and information is identified contact the responsibility activity and learn cause, forecasted impact, resolution plan, and help needed from external activities. Report identified issues and associated information to NMMOC Director and the cognizant NAVSEA 04 Submarine or Carrier program management staff.
  • Assess delivered data and information for cross-activity emerging issues, e.g., shortfalls in material, delays in engineering responses, and other issues indicating a sustainment system shortfall that may require NAVSEA and other external activity support to resolve. Report identified issues and associated information to NMMOC Director and the cognizant NAVSEA 04 Submarine or Carrier program management staff.
  • Develop, prepare, and deliver daily briefing material to the NAVSEA 04 senior leadership including SEA 04, SEA 04 Executive Director, SEA 04X, and NMMOC Director.


Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen with a Secret Security Clearance
  • Undergraduate degree in business, engineering, or another technical field desired.
  • Experience in business systems, manufacturing systems, or production systems analysis.
  • Experience in a Naval Shipyard production, operations, or business and strategic planning office OR experience in a Department of the Defense program office is desired.
