Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years speech therapy experience required.

This opportunity is for a full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position in an elementary school setting located in Virginia Beach, VA. The role involves working with a diverse group of students, many of whom exhibit severe behavioral disorders. The student population will vary, ranging from those in functional programs to inclusion-based classrooms. This position offers a supportive and collaborative team environment, allowing for close partnership with various support staff in a team-oriented program model.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide speech language therapy services tailored to each students needs.
• Work within both functional and inclusion classroom settings.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and other specialists to develop and implement individualized plans.
• Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans accordingly.
• Maintain compliance with state and school district licensing and documentation requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current Virginia SLP license or the ability to obtain one before the start of the school year in August.
• Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology preferred.
• Experience working with pediatric populations, especially in educational settings.
• Familiarity with serving students with behavioral disorders.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills in a multi-disciplinary environment.
