Pay Range: $46.91 – $72.39 per hour
Position Overview
The Radiation Therapist is responsible for the administration of ionizing radiation for therapeutic purposes in accordance with the Radiation Oncologist’s prescription. This role is accountable for patient simulation, treatment delivery, documentation, and basic patient care and education throughout the course of therapy.
You’ll collaborate closely with physicians, dosimetrists, physicists, and fellow therapists to ensure safe, accurate, and patient-centered treatment.
Essential Functions

Interpret and implement radiation therapy prescriptions and treatment plans

Deliver, document, and chart all simulation and treatment summaries

Perform simulation procedures and prepare immobilization devices

Obtain accurate measurements, contours, and supporting data for dosimetry

Conduct daily equipment warm-up and quality assurance checks

Provide basic patient care during treatment and support patient education

Monitor patients’ day-to-day clinical progress and observe for treatment-related symptoms

Assist with clinical training and evaluation of student therapists, as applicable

Ensure accurate daily billing for all treatment-related procedures

Schedule and treat patients in a timely, professional, and compassionate manner

Minimum Qualifications

Radiologic Technologist License in the state of practice, if applicable

ARRT Certification in Radiation Therapy

Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
