A contract-to-hire opportunity is available for a Staff Pharmacist at a closed-door long-term care facility in Nanuet, NY. This role offers a chance to work in a dynamic environment supporting patient care with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance. The facility processes approximately 600 prescriptions daily and utilizes the Frameworks software system, with training provided.
Responsibilities include verifying PV1 and PV2 orders, occasional preparation of EV kits, IV preparation, and non-sterile compoundingall of which the employer is willing to train for. Shifts rotate between first and second shifts, Monday through Friday, with potential shift times spanning from early morning to late evening on a four-day, 10-hour schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform PV1 and PV2 verifications accurately.
- Assist with preparation of EV kits as needed.
- Prepare IV medications with training provided.
- Conduct non-sterile compounding with training support.
- Adapt to rotating 1st and 2nd shifts, maintaining flexibility.
Qualifications:
- Active, clear New York State Pharmacist license required.
- LTC pharmacy experience preferred but not mandatory.
- New graduates are encouraged to apply and will receive training.
