A full-time Audiologist position is available to provide comprehensive audiology services within a Virginia Beach school district. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop and lead a new audiology program for students, following the discontinuation of services previously provided by a local clinic. The position is itinerant, requiring travel to various schools throughout the district to conduct hearing exams and related services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement an audiology program tailored to the district's student population.
  • Conduct hearing screenings, evaluations, and assessments for students across various age groups.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare providers to support students auditory health and educational needs.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and state regulations.
  • Provide recommendations and follow-up care plans for students requiring additional services.

Qualifications:

  • PhD in Audiology is required.
  • Active Audiologist licensure in Virginia.
  • Experience working in educational or pediatric settings preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel between multiple school sites within the Virginia Beach area.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, student-centered audiology care.

Location and Schedule:

  • Based in Virginia Beach, VA, working within the Virginia Beach school district.
  • Full-time position, 37.5 hours per week.
  • Contract role through mid-June with the potential for extension.
