Council Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our outstanding team. Previous veterinary or animal handling experience is strongly desired but we are also willing to train the right person!
This is a full-time position comprised of 5-8hr hour shifts, Monday - Friday. No weekends!
The ideal candidate:
- Previous Veterinary or animal handling experience preferred
- Reliable individuals who demonstrate strong communication and animal handling skills
- Positive, outgoing people-person with exceptional customer service skills
- Team players with an incredible work ethic and can-do attitude

Required qualifications and skillset:
- 1+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
- Commitment to a career in veterinary medicine with ongoing training
- Proficiency in the following skills:
- Assisting in exams
- Surgical set up and assisting
- Patient handling and restraint
- Administering vaccines and medications
- Obtain patient TPR
- Venipuncture
