Are you a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a calm, focused lab setting? Join VitalSkin Dermatology’s private lab in Urbana, IL, where your precision directly supports high-quality patient care.

Certification Required: HT or HTL | Full-time, on-site (Monday–Friday) | Starting at $35/hour (based on experience)

What you will do

• Prepare tissue specimens: grossing, embedding, microtomy, staining

• Perform IHC and special stains with accuracy

• Maintain lab records and ensure regulatory compliance

• Collaborate with dermatopathologists and lab teammates

• Monitor instruments and manage supplies

What You Bring

• HT/HTL (ASCP) certification or board eligibility within 12 months

• Experience with microtomes, auto stainers, and embedding centers

• Familiarity with LIS and EMR systems

• Strong attention to detail and quality standards

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and assist with lab setup

Preferred: 2+ years in a healthcare or lab setting
