SUMMARY
This full-time role supports the assembly, test, and troubleshooting of precision electronic and electro-mechanical equipment. The position involves building sub-assemblies, performing final system checks, and assisting with repairs in a hands-on production environment. This opportunity is ideal for someone who is detail-driven, mechanically inclined, and interested in advancing their skills in electronics.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assemble electronic, mechanical, and electro-optical components following detailed documentation.
- Perform alignment, verification, and calibration on completed instruments.
- Diagnose issues on basic circuits using tools such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.
- Complete wiring and interconnections based on schematics and diagrams.
- Review and interpret production drawings, layouts, and procedures.
- Assist with in-house repair activities and support product servicing needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace in accordance with standard operating practices.
- Work closely with engineers and production teams to resolve technical challenges.
- Support production priorities and take on additional tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to read and understand electronic schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Capable of troubleshooting basic AC and DC systems at both the component and system level.
- Approximately 1–2 years of electronics or electro-mechanical assembly experience preferred; motivated entry-level candidates will also be considered.
Education
- Associate degree in electronics or equivalent hands-on training preferred.
- Background in analog and digital circuitry is a strong advantage.
Technical & Professional Skills
- General computer proficiency; familiarity with standard office software.
- Comfortable using tools and working with small mechanical and electronic parts.
- Strong attention to detail with consistent, high-quality workmanship.
- Solid communication skills and the ability to work successfully across departments.
- Organized, reliable, and able to work independently while following established guidelines.
Physical & Work Environment
- Ability to stand and move throughout the work area for roughly half of the workday.
- Must be able to lift 40–50 pounds as needed.
- Work performed in a shared production and office environment with frequent team interaction.
- Standard hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with occasional additional hours during peak demand periods.
