Shift: Night Shift
Schedule: 34.5 Hours/Week | 11.5-Hour Shifts | 3 Days/Week
Travel Compensation Package
Estimated Weekly Pay: $3,000
Local: $60 - $65/hr
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dynamic acute care team in New York City. The RN will provide high-quality patient care on a telemetry unit, monitoring cardiac patients and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to telemetry patients during night shifts.
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry readings.
- Assess patient conditions and communicate changes promptly.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Perform IV insertions and phlebotomy procedures.
- Assist with conscious sedation procedures when required.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and care plans.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and facility protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program.
- Active New York State RN License.
- Primary Source Verification of License and Registration through NYSED.
- AHA BLS Certification.
- AHA ACLS Certification.
- Minimum 1 year of Medical/Surgical nursing experience.
- Minimum 1 year of Telemetry nursing experience.
- Minimum 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience.
- Minimum 2 years of conscious sedation experience.
