We are looking for a skilled Programmer Automation Engineer to join our team in Appleton, Wisconsin. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to work in the construction and contractor industry, focusing on large-scale industrial panels, renewable energy, food and beverage systems, and wastewater treatment plants. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in programming, troubleshooting, and commissioning Rockwell systems, along with a strong background in PLC and HMI technologies.


Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement custom Rockwell system programming from scratch to meet project specifications.

• Conduct comprehensive troubleshooting and commissioning of industrial panels and systems, ensuring optimal performance.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and maintain PLC control systems using Allen Bradley PLCs.

• Create and refine HMI software and programming to streamline user interfaces and system processes.

• Utilize VFDs to enhance system efficiencies and functionality within various industrial applications.

• Ensure compliance with Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) standards during all project phases.

• Apply advanced knowledge of PLC Ladder Logic and PLC-5 systems to optimize automation processes.

• Support renewable energy and wastewater treatment plant initiatives through innovative programming solutions.

• Provide technical expertise and training to team members as needed, fostering a collaborative work environment

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in programming Rockwell systems from scratch.

• Proficiency in troubleshooting and commissioning industrial panels and systems.

• Hands-on experience with Allen Bradley PLCs and associated control systems.

• Strong knowledge of VFDs and their integration into industrial applications.

• Expertise in HMI software development and programming.

• Familiarity with PLC Ladder Logic and PLC-5 systems.

• Understanding of WHMIS standards and their application within industrial environments.

• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting and communicate technical concepts clearly.
