We have an immediate opportunity for a Procurement Specialist in the Los Angeles area. This is a hybrid position requiring in office Monday and Tuesdays.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Ability to negotiate terms, discount volume and long-term contract with suppliers
- Ability to process requisitions and purchase orders for the procurement of technical equipment, custom engineered products, systems, software or components
- Review and negotiate company-wide commercial agreements for various scopes of work
- Ability to understand and apply business tools (financial, logistical, commercial, risk, cost analyst, etc..)
- Position requires maintaining understanding of technology trends, market, cost trends and technology road maps
- Previous experience reviewing purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to organization policy and discusses defects and delivery problems with suppliers and negotiates refunds
- Must be comfortable stepping into a project manager role for one or more short to mid-term project with responsibilities in terms of cost, method and outcomes
- Experience maintaining moderately complex purchase orders and change orders
- When in a project manager role, can resolve issues and ensure task completion by establishing priorities and resolving conflict with team members
- Ability to identify problems and solutions while collaborating to establish project objectives, timelines, risk, milestones, deliverable and budgets
- Comfortable making decisions while exercising judgment and discretion to advise and recommend courses of action, which may have moderate corporate impact or moderate to major departmental or business unit impart
- Ability to determine methods and procedures on new assignments which may require coordinating activities of other team members
- Develop and maintain Outline Agreements, Source Lists, and monitor PO Automation for multiple categories
- Excellent communication as you will be required to engage with multiple managers and leaders
- Aids in training peers and other stakeholders on the procurement process
- Develop skills and knowledge to become subject matter expert in managed spend categories
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Five plus years in negotiating and purchasing supporting telecom, wireless, and/or carrier services
- Strong knowledge of contracting and negotiating agreements for networking services
- Experience using Ariba and SAP Software in purchasing environment in addition to ECC for materials management desired
- One to three years’ experience in a supply chain, procurement, and/or contract management
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with customers and suppliers and gather client requirements and negotiate their support requirements
- Proficient with MS Office Suite to include Excel.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills while maintaining confidentiality

Compensation based on experience.
