Job Title: Logistics Specialist
Job Type: W2 Contract ( 12 months )
Location: Wayzata, MN
Schedule: M – F 8am to 5pm
Pay Rate: $ 20 – 25 / hour
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Specialist to support our supply chain operations by coordinating the timely and cost-effective movement of products, ingredients, and materials. This role plays a key part in ensuring seamless transportation, warehouse coordination, and data accuracy within enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and execution of supply chain activities from vendors and warehouses to company plants or directly to customers.
- Complete accurate documentation and data entry in SAP and other systems to support logistics and inventory management.
- Facilitate shipments, execute internal/external purchase orders and invoices, and update ERP systems, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Monitor and adjust order and shipment schedules to optimize cost, service, and profitability.
- Support logistics activities related to material resource planning, customer service, contract execution, and incident/claim resolution.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound freight, manage third-party logistics providers, and ensure timely container and import shipment tracking.
- Generate reports, track inventory, and maintain shipment compliance with purchase and sales contracts.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve routine issues and escalate more complex matters when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and logistics databases
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
