Responsibilities
- Develop and revise 3D models and detailed engineering drawings using SolidWorks.
- Generate supplemental drawings and documentation to support fabrication processes.
- Interpret and apply blueprints and technical drawings to manufacturing workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve production efficiency and quality.
- Receive project assignments, establish deadlines, and manage included project files.
- Create custom fabrication processes for new projects and update legacy projects to align with current templates and standards.
- Provide technical guidance to the fabrication team and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and familiarity with SolidWorks PDM Vault.
- Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes including welding, laser cutting, forming, and CNC programming.
- Ability to create and manage drawing packets for fabrication.
- Experience in process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $44.00/hr.
