Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist with 1+ year of experience and current ARRT and advanced mammography certification.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a dedicated mammography department performing radiographic mammography procedures
  • Adult female patient population focusing on breast imaging and diagnostic studies
  • Procedures include advanced mammography such as stereotactic biopsies, clip placements, and drainages
  • Uses mammographic equipment and EPIC EMR system
  • Day shifts with four 10-hour shifts per week, Monday through Friday, with 2 Saturdays during the contract
  • Responsibilities include performing high quality diagnostic mammography, patient education, and maintaining patient safety and radiation protection
  • Duties also involve accurate documentation, record keeping, and compliance with regulatory standards
  • Must be able to work independently using judgment, creativity, and initiative
  • Permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before eligibility for a travel assignment
  • Personal radiation monitoring badge (dosimeter) required for this assignment; candidates may use a badge from a previous employer if available

\n \n Requirements\n

  • Minimum of 1 year recent experience in mammography
  • Active ARRT and state Radiologic Technologist license required; license required if applicable
  • Current ARRT Advanced Mammography Certification required
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers (AHA only), must be valid through the assignment
  • Meet and maintain ACR, FDA/MQSA mammography requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Must be able to lift, stand, walk, and have manual dexterity as needed for the role
  • Previous EPIC charting experience preferred
