We are currently seeking an Inpatient Therapy Technician to join our Inpatient Therapy team. In this role, you’ll support licensed professionals in physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, and nursing by assisting in the delivery of rehabilitation and restorative services. This position plays an important part in enhancing patient mobility, safety, and overall experience.

This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with patients and staff from diverse backgrounds. The Therapy Technician will assist with patient care tasks, restorative mobility services for non-therapy acute care patients, clerical duties, environmental organization, and preparation standards. The Therapy Technician reports to the Inpatient Therapy Supervisor and is classified as hourly, non-exempt.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing physical support and assistance during therapy and rehabilitation interventions

  • Supporting mobility services for non-therapy acute care patients

  • Maintaining safe and organized therapy and patient care environments

  • Assisting with clerical and office-related tasks as assigned

  • Following safety procedures and fall-prevention techniques

  • Executing assigned tasks accurately and efficiently

  • Building positive relationships with patients and team members

  • Demonstrating effective communication, professionalism, and sound judgment

  • Managing time effectively and working independently when needed

  • Utilizing computer systems and performing basic data entry

  • Maintaining compliance with departmental standards and expectations

QUALIFICATIONSEducation

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

  • Previous experience in healthcare (e.g., CNA, therapy tech, or current therapy student)

  • Physical Therapy or Physical Therapy Student preferred

Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of safety and fall prevention techniques

  • Ability to follow direction and complete assigned tasks

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with diverse personalities

  • Ability to be tactful, mature, flexible, and professional

  • Problem-solving and sound decision-making skills

  • Effective time management and ability to work independently

  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing

  • Basic computer knowledge and keyboard skills

Licensure, Registration, or Certification

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
