Responsibilities:
- Provide academic, behavioral, and social support to students under teacher guidance
- Assist students individually or in small groups to enhance learning and participation
- Help students with daily routines, transitions, and classroom activities
- Implement behavior support plans and follow Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as needed
- Support student mobility, supervision, and personal care requirements
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment conducive to learning
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Ability to pass TB test and meet school district health requirements
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting when necessary
- Must have current clearances or be willing to obtain before starting
Preferred Experience:
- Background in schools, special education, behavioral health, or childcare settings
- Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
- CPI, PMT, or RBT certification is a plus but not required
- Reliable, patient, and collaborative approach to working with students and staff
