Schedule & Contract Details

  • 13-week engagement beginning 6/1 or 6/15 with bi-weekly orientation
  • Minimum guaranteed 36 hours per week (option for 48 hours upon request)
  • 12-hour day shifts, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Weekends: 3 out of every 6 weeks
  • Holidays: Every other holiday
  • Floating: Primary location with rare float to neighboring campuses (2-hour notice provided)

Qualifications

  • Active compact RN license required
  • Current AHA BLS and NIHSS certifications (must be provided upon submittal)
  • At least 2 years recent Tele/Med-Surg experience (1 travel assignment mandatory)
  • Level II trauma experience required
  • Recent EPIC charting experience (checkoff class required)
  • Advanced neuro assessment, dysphagia screening, and 12-lead EKG interpretation
  • Drip initiation/titration skills (insulin, cardiac, heparin), cardiac cath recovery essential
  • Charge nurse experience and additional procedural skills (preferred)

Role Responsibilities

  • Deliver expert care to neuro cardiac and complex med/surg/telemetry patients, including post-cardiac caths, stroke, and advanced surgical recoveries
  • Efficiently manage a busy caseload with ratios of 1:4-5 (days); 1:6-7 (nights)
  • Demonstrate adaptability by floating within your skillset if needed
  • Participate in teaching hospital initiatives, potentially precepting students or new hires
  • Uphold high professional standards, contribute positively to a team-oriented unit
