Commercial Servicing Specialist

Brief Summary

Due to internal movement, we are looking for a Commercial Servicing Specialist. This position plays an integral role within the Business Services department by performing all aspects of funding, maintaining, closing, and servicing processes for commercial loans. This person also provides member services in our Spirit Valley location and over the phone. The ideal candidate will be able to perform daily tasks and provide excellent, consistent member service. This position reports to the Spirit Valley branch daily.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with external members, using credit union product knowledge to identify and recommend products and services to meet unmet needs.
  • Maintain knowledge of lending policies and procedures.
  • Assist internal and external members and non-members with questions through the Business Services call queue, servicing group email, and any other general inquiries.
  • Perform pre- and post- closing duties on all commercial funding.
  • Arrange and assist members with online banking access.
  • Back-up Commercia Loan Processors when needed.
  • Prepare commercial department lien releases and commercial loan satisfactions for paid off loans or requests in conjunction with loan changes.
  • Manage and review documents for Business Services team.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in Accounting or Business, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 1-2 years of experience in the financial industry, preferably Commercial Lending

  • Professional level writing skills, ability to read and write reports, memos and business correspondence

  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products

  • Ability to become a Minnesota Notary Public

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Customer service experience

Schedule

  • Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., 40 hrs/wk

Wage & Hour Details

  • Full-time

  • Hourly

  • Starting pay range: $23/hr-$29/hr, pay commensurate with experience
